The Form Log page is designed to help users view and manage the messages submitted through the forms created using the plugin. Below is a detailed description of the elements and functionalities available on the Form Log page.

Overview

The Form Log page provides a comprehensive list of all the messages submitted via the forms. Each entry in the log contains essential information about the message, including its ID, type, content, date, and time of submission, and an option to delete the entry.

Elements and Functionalities

  • ID Column:
    • Description: This column displays a unique identifier for each message submitted through the forms.
    • Purpose: Helps in distinguishing and referencing specific messages in the log.
  • Type Column:
    • Description: This column indicates the medium used for the message submission. It can be either email or WhatsApp.
  • Content Column:
    • Description: This column shows the detailed content of each submitted form, depending on what information you entered during your form configuration.
    • Format:
      • For email submissions(e.g.):
        • name: [name]
        • email: [email]
        • message: [message]
      • For WhatsApp submissions(e.g.):
        • name: [name]
        • message: [message]
  • Purpose: Allows users to read the full details of each message directly from the log.
  • Date Column:
    • Description: This column displays the date and time when the message was submitted.
    • Format:
      • Date: Day Month Year (e.g., 28 may 2024)
      • Time: 24-hour format (e.g., 16h14)
    • Purpose: Helps in tracking when each message was received.
  • Delete Column:
    • Description: This column contains a delete button for each entry.
    • Button:
      • Label: « Delete »
      • Function: Removes the corresponding message from the log permanently.
    • Purpose: Allows users to manage the log by deleting entries that are no longer needed.

Pagination

  • Description: The Form Log page supports pagination to navigate through multiple entries.
  • Controls:
    • Show Entries Dropdown: Allows users to select the number of entries to display per page (e.g., 10, 25, 50, 100).
    • Navigation Buttons: « Previous » and « Next » buttons to move between pages.
    • Page Indicator: Shows the current page number and the total number of pages (e.g., « Showing 1 to 10 of 14 entries »).

Search Functionality

  • Description: A search bar located at the top-right corner of the page.
  • Purpose: Enables users to quickly find specific messages by typing keywords.

Example Scenario

Imagine you received a customer inquiry on 12th June 2024 at 15:45 via WhatsApp. To locate this message in the Form Log, you would:

  1. Look for the entry with the date « 12 June 2024 15h45 ».
  2. Identify the WhatsApp icon in the Type column.
  3. Read the message content in the Content column.

If you decide this message is no longer necessary, you can click the « Delete » button corresponding to that entry to remove it from the log.
